REFUELS handles multiple Biofuels with focus on biomethane that can be used for different applications.

The European production of biogas has taken a flight during the last 10 years and upgrading of biogas to

biomethane has become the new market standard.

Based in the Netherlands REFUELS sources and supplies biomethane throughout Europe. We have an

excellent track record structuring new renewable energy supply chains making them sustainable and

profitable. We do reach out to biomethane producers and consumers to provide them with advice & expertise.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As a working student Accountancy, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s accounting, internal control, and financial structure are in place. You’ll reinforce the Finance Team by working on a broad range of projects using your own insights to bring ideas to life.

You will:

● update and improve our existing Financial Systems and Procedures (AO/IC Rapport) by conducting interviews with team members and applying theory learned in your studies

● consult with the team on internal control risks and suggest solutions for these risks

● support financial processes, e.g. by building and running models in Excel

● support the Finance Team with daily administrative tasks when needed

● analyse data, write reports and deliver presentations of new insights and progress to the team and partners

● process documents, keep records, describe findings, and make recommendations in reports and presentations

Functie eisen

WHO YOU ARE

● a perceptive team player with a self-starting desire to contribute and learn from day one

● passionate about accounting and the renewable energy market

● a (Pre-)Master’s student / final-year Bachelor’s student in Accountancy / Finance / Business Economics or related field

● proficient in MS Office

● fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus

● knowledge of Excel VBA is a plus

● knowledge of IFRS is a plus

● you have an idea of how derivatives and other financial instruments work, or are willing to learn
